Exclamation cam selection for 383 Superram TPI

hey guys,

im rebuilding the valvetrain on my 383 stroker and im in need of some suggestions regarding roller cam selection.

i know this is tough with little info on my setup but ill try to give u all the info i can as i bought the car with the motor already done.

accel superram intake/plenum/runners, 58mm TB, Dart Sportsman II heads 2.02/1.60 (decked, polished/ported), 1.6 rockers, 48# injectors, accel dfi....not sure if any other info would help (forged bottom end, etc.). unfortunately i dont have any flow numbers for the heads (not good, i know), which is why i thought id ask here.

i think the superram setup with the heads im running would work well with an aggressive cam (over 230 duration @.50), but im not sure...

any suggestions as to which cam specs to go for?

help!
thx

Well...I have a suggestion or two. I do not suggest running the Superram with the Dart heads. The large runners of the Darts will not work as well in a torque biased setup like the Superram. Also, 48# injectors are way oversized.

Accel makes cams that match up to the superram. They are generally in the 218 range duration wise. I would go to Lingenfelters site as I'm sure he'll have them.
