Cam install q's

im gunna pop in an L98 cam into my LG4 sooner or later, im just wondering what all goes into the install.....thanx

what he said except ive never drained the oil and dropped the pan...no need,just makes it easier for stuff to fall into it.

watch out when u take the fittings off the a/c condensor...it will prob. still have freon in it,dont breath it in.

Are you talking about the pressurized fittings? If so, just loosen them until they start fizzing and shooting green crap. Maybe put a rag over it and let her drain.

Never heard of dropping the pan though? When dissassembling my L98, I took the timing cover off before the pan...I *think*

The timing cover has a lip that holds the front of the oilpan seal in place. You're supposed to loosen the pan before you take off the timing cover to keep from bending the lip.

I personally leave the pan tight.
