But if hes not back in time then I will let it slide & race his car. lol
Yes the 95 Zhawk is his, so is the 67 Step side shortbox, & the 90 Vette
My cars are the 82 indy pace car (which is for sale) 87 Iroc z & the 96 S10 (which will be traded in for a newer one in the next year or two)
The GTP is both of ours.

LPE does, or at least did have a different method. John took my car drilled a hole in the pass side exhaust tube and weld an O2 sensor bung there and took readings. He would drive it while his assistant with a bunch of equipment sat in the driver seat and they would take it for runs, come back and tweak the program then take it for more runs till they were happy. that or a dyno works well.
how is the car running on the stock chip? i'm no expert but even my old 383 with a mild cam wouldn't run off the stock .bin
i'd listen to aklim and consider his advice, he's helped me quite a bit on trying to narrow down my own tunning problems. the only thing i would have to disagree is trusting an out of state programmer.........unfortunately depending on your situation it may be hard for you to find a tunner much like i am dealing with.
however be forewarned......i did the whole mail order deal with tpis and after 2 chips and 700 miles my motor was ruined. not to say it will happen to everyone but at least with tpis there are more people then one can count on their hands who have had the same problem as my own. unfortunately due to out of state regulations and whatnot it makes it virtually impossible to do much about it in the way of retribution and these companies know it.
so in short, either take it to someone........have someone come to you.........learn to do it yourself........or pay extra close attention to everything. just because the car runs great doesn't mean something else isn't and you could run into the same problem so many of us have already come across.
one last note though, dfi which is a rather popular (expensive) unit seems to be virtually programmable by many race shops throughout the country so if you don't mind shelling out some extra bucks now it may be easier that route. i would do it myself but after having so much wrapped up into trying to get a 730 speed density ecm chip burnt i just keep pushing. had i known what i know now i probably would have just went dfi since there aren't any people in my area that can do what i feel needs to be done with the stock setup.
