Which bolt to use on main caps?

Looking to replace bolts on my main cap with ARP. Which of the 2 do I need. According to the #'s on my crankshaft, I have medium journals. Summit list for ARP bolts are listed as small or large.

No such thing as "medium" journals on a SBC V8. Small or large are the only sizes from the factory. If your crank/block are 1968 vintage or newer (that's nineteen SIXTY EIGHT, not nineteen eighty six) they're all large journal. 1967 or older stuff is small journal. Basically, anything that isn't an antique is large journal.

350/305's are "medium journal" on the mains.

400's had the "large" journals on the mains.

We typically only talk about "small" and "large" journals, but that really only applies to the rod journals. Mains actually came in 3 sizes.
