Blue Smoke at Start

My car is burning oil when I first start it. It lasts for about 2 seconds then stops. What causes this? Is it the valve seals? How much time and effort will it take to fix?

Sounds like valve seals....I think you can get an overhead spring compressor and do it with just the valve covers off...

Probably the valve stem seals. I would say it would be found here for $49.99

Where are you at? If you are near enough, I could lend you mine. Wouldn't take much and I can hook up the air compressor.

Thanx for the offer but I live in VA. Might be a little bit too much of a drive.
