Post Bad click/pop noise at low RPMs after build up

This is what I posted on thirdgen.org, I figure I'll post it here and see if anyone can help me ...

I did all the stuff in my sig and Im trying to get the tuning figured out now. When Im driving occasionally between 1200-2000 rpm the car will like loudly click, then the gas will cut out, but the car stays on. A second later it'll be fine. My fuel pressure is set a little above stock and Im rich at idle I believe (.800v according to winaldl), could that just be me running rich or what?

(tonight)

I was driving around with a friend following me and we were turning on to an on ramp. I gave it some gas and it poped (it pops, but not enough to make me think its a backfire?) and I had a hard time getting up to 65 mph at all. I pulled over and leaned it out back to the stock fuel pressure, then the car wouldnt start. So I raised the fuel pressure past where I had it and my power came back, but it started doing the pop thing at about 1600 rpm.

Thanks if you guys can give me any help!

Chuck, you say loudly clicking? With WINALDL are you getting any knock counts at these specified RPM's? If so your timing is being retarded and thats where the lack of power comes in. Also, you have a 305 with Vortec heads new intake and headers. The headers alone are enough to make the car run lean. But then you have a new cam. Basically you have to learn to read the WINALDL data and modify the .bin file soon!

Get back with me on the knock counts and stuff.

Ok, Ill check on the knock counts today. It has to be backfiring, thier is gas residue on the bottom of the air cleaner housing and on the injector pod.

My headers are leaking, someone told me that could be causing it, too?
