Autometer Triple Guage Install

Recently I purchased an Autometer Full guage pod for my A-Pilalr. It holds (3) 2 1/16" guages. I orders the Mechanical Water Temp. and Oil PRessure guage, and an electric air/fuel guage. I ordered it for a Hardtop car (Thats what I have) and I know it's the right one because I checked the #'s again.

Now my problem is, the bottom guage pod seems to be hitting the dash pad, and not letting the guage pod slide down the A-Pillar completly. There is about 1" to 1 1/2" of extra material at the top that is hitting my headliner. Have any fo you had this problem before? If so, how did you fix it?

Also My car is a 91 Camaro Z28 ... 305 TPI. And I was wondering where do I run the Mechanical Water Temp. and Oil PRessure guages? Alot of people have been telling me of different places where I could run the Water Temp. guage, but I am still confussed. Also if you had any pictures of your guages/install that would be greatful.

I have some pictures up. Go to www.geocities.com/ratf_maverick and look at the ones that begin with Dcp. Tell me if you need anymore pictures, I have a digital camera. Also tell me if you may have a solution to my problem.

alright sean, finally got the pics to work!

without taking in depth look it definately looks like the extra particles your talking about at the top are for the t-top version as that is those typically end there.

in 272 pic you can definately see that there is no room to push it down any further. mine are close to touching, but no where anything like that........

70 pic that would show the top corner is too dark to get a feel on wether or not the piece can be modified..........with all the pillar mounts the molding seems to be a bit off in one way or another; i returned 2 of mine before i got fed up and made my 3rd work.

remember that in most cases you will have to just force it into place and then screw it down tight to the existing molding. really need better pictures with light so that i could see if it can be modified.

without telling i'd say you definately have a problem and should either return it or start filling and cutting to fit. that or get better pics and i'll see what i can come up with.

is that a daily driver.......? where is canton exactly say in relation to the palace?

I live on Warren and Canton Center. It's about 45 minutes away from Detroit. Canton is right next to Plymouth.

I will see if I can get some more pistures.
