Automatic Trunk Latch Problem.
the problem is...it dont work. I have installed a new motor for it and have hooked everything back up and it still doesnt work...does anyone have any suggestions???
I took the assembly partly apart & after looking at the flimsy plastic housing etc, I pushed the part the slides up/down in the down position, & placed some weight on the rear hatch (not real heavy, but heavy enough to make a good seal with the rubber gasket). I then got into the car with a drill & drilled a couple of holes on either side of the outside metal frame, & inserted "set" screws that now old the sliding part in one position. My rear hatch now opens/closes like a regular trunk or hatch with all the electric motor crap!
