Anyone running the 84-92 Borla system?

I plan on buying it in a week or so since my stock I pipe is split and the muffler has holes in it. My only concern is that I'm being told by some people that they have fitment problems. I can't imagine why it wouldnt' fit...

For 670$ it should be "bolt-in". Borla claims their systems to be application specific and that they come with all mounting hardware so whats the deal?

We put it on my friends 82 T/A along with headers, y-pipe, and 3" cat.
The Borla was just a tad short and needed to have a short tube added. It was the 84-92 Borla setup.

would a borla exhaust on a LT1 fit on my L98 iroc? my friend just parted out his car and he told me he'd give me his borla exhaust because the flowmasters that came with my exhaust, is in his words, "a mickey mouse exhaust". lmao, im soooo down to put the borla on my iroc but i just wanted to know if it would fit. would suck if they didn't :\ im getting it for FREE lol

I've heard things like it not coming with all the required brackets or the I pipe not fitting right. If the I pipe is just a little short I can deal with that....but I'm not in the mood to deal with fabrication right now, I want something that bolts and, and that I can weld really quick.

Zepher, so the muffler and piping "bolts in"? No additional mounting hardware? Just a slight extension of the I pipe?

thnx

Dave

It came with everything to bolt it to the car, all brackets, hangers, clamps, etc...

Bolted up great, just the i-pipe was short.

4th gen Borla will bolt right up to a 3rd gen, just need to modify the I-pipe.
I was running a 4th gen Pacestter 3" stainless steel catback on my 86 T/A. bolted up fine, just needed the i-pipe modified.

If you get it for free is there a possibility you could spend $50 to have it modified and maybe even $50 more to have it fully installed? hehe Goodluck, I heard the system on a Blown 350 L98 last week. It barks

How does the Borla system sound on 3rd Gens? I have a 305TPI, anyone ever heard it on that setup? I have always wanted those dual square tips for my car. Those look soo awesome.
