Anyone know dimensions of '86-'92 clutch?
Anyone know dimensions of '86-'92 clutch?
I'm interested in converting my LT1 T56 to a hydraulic T/O bearing (McLeod PN 1400-22), and I'm told this works with an '86-'92 305/350 1-1/8"x26 spline clutch. The guy I talked to is running a single disc SPEC Stage III, but I'd like to run a Street Twin if possible.
What I need to know, if anyone has the information, is what the dimensions are (height if laying on the ground, depth when installed) of the 3rd gen. push-style clutch. The guy with the SPEC clutch says he adjusted the spacer collar on the T/O bearing by about 0.25" to achieve the right engagement with the pressure plate, so there must be some extra room in an LT1 T56 bellhousing.
What I really need to know, if anyone has one or knows the dimensions off hand, is if the McLeod Street Twin for the '86-'92 cars (PN 64004-1A-07 w/steel flywheel, PN 63004-1A-07 w/aluminum flywheel) is the same height as the stock single disc clutch or if there's any difference or modification involved.
Thanks for any information you can give me!

I've had trouble finding anyone who is capable of answering my question, so I was hoping I could compare the dimensions of a standard single disc clutch and a Street Twin for the same year and get an idea from that. I may just have to buy the clutch and find out for myself.
