I need to know how thick the mounting flanges are so I know how much I have to grind a bolt spacer down. I bought an alternator relocation kit designed aruond an electric pump and need to grind the bolt spacers down since I'm not using and electric water pump. Needed to get my LT1 head/intake conversion going.

Im running a CSI electric pump. I can measure the flanges but I can tell you
from experince its going to be dificult. Because of the distance from bolt center
to the surface of the water pump is very close. But the flang is 7/16. Hope that
helps.

So for the bolt that attaches the pump to the block.... the bottom of the head of the bolt is 7/16" from the engine block, correct?

*bump* Also, anyone know the how thick the water pump is on the serpentine belt water pumps? I'll end up measuring when I'm about to grind the spacers, but I'd like to know in advance if possible. I'm looking for the thickness of the mounting part, where the bolt goes. Basically, how far is the bottom of the bolt head from the mating surface of the pump?
