Thumbs up Any 3rd gen starters interchange?

TBI, TPI, Carb, 350, 305, V6 or others. Any of the starters work on the others?

60* is 2.8L 3.1L 3.4L

The 4.3 v-6 truck should work, 5.7L etc.......is it straight bolt patern or staggered? probly straight, so another will work....you may need to shim it.

Try to get a LT1 starter, they are better

A manual V8 starter will work on any other V8 because they are smaller. The automatic V8's have a larger starter that will not bolt up with a manual trans.

305's and 350's are different due to different size flywheels the offsets and angles are different for where the bolts go through starter the v-6's may be the same but they use less torque to turn engine over your best bet make sure you get what your car calls for to keep you from doing it again

305 and 350's are the same.

Manual and auto are also interchangable. the 4.3 truck starter is the same also

Sorry but you're completely incorrect. You are probably thinking of the difference between a 153 tooth flywheel and a 168 tooth flywheel. All thirdgen f-body V8's came with 153 tooth flywheels. The truck V8's have 168 tooth flywheels.
