Re: Any 10 or 11 sec. 3rd gens, in here PLZ

ok how about this..............Im running a STOCK L98 motor with edlebrock 40 series muffler, mickey thompson Prosportman drag radials, and a 75 wet shot of nitrous. That put me at 12.80 on the 1/4 mile. Now with some gears and a stall and a 150 shot I should see 11's no prob. Just remember the faster times you run the more that is bound to break on you. Fast cars = alot of cash

also you could go carbed or mini ram from TPIS.com or holley stealth ram for a MAJOR increase in power over the stock TPI set up

totally false.
dont need a big block.
doesnt have to be a 400.
no power adder is needed.

I agree, a 350 with good heads and a 230/236 cam would get the job done.

It's a principal we call- "try not to invent the wheel" or KISS (keep it simple stupid)

I have little knowledge of EFI, probably too old and stubborn to care at this point in life too carbs a cheap, easy to tune, and flat out work. So while tuner tommy has the laptop plugged in tweaking his heart away trying to go fast, we swap a few jets and go fast right out of the gate.

Old mentality-sure, but somtimes simplicity works...anybody see they make an intake swap so you can bolt carbs onto LS1's and make more power than EFI ever allowed on them

I think that is because that big single plane intake was vastly superior to the stock LS1 intake, which is known as being a bit of a restriction.

Hell, Traxtion from TGO ran his stock L98 shortblock, MR, AFR 190's custom cam, converter, LT's and some gears and I think he pulled off a 11.80 something. ALL NA
