annoying misfire. can anyone help?
my winter beater car is a 92 camaro rs, with an automatic and a 305(tbi). the other night i was driving and it was running fantastic, but it was less then 20 degrees out and the motor never passed 150 degrees. on most days, the motor reaches about 180 degrees, the service engine light comes on, and it begins to run ****ty. it misfires, and hesitates, sometimes almost enough that i think the engine will stall. it feels horrible. since it seems heat related i think its something electrical that is messing up when it gets hot. does anyone have any suggestions or has had this happen to them?
a fried of mine has a scanner that works for a 97lt1, he sai dwith a differnt program it will work on my car too so if i cant figure it out maybe ill buy that. i was thinking coil as well. would the stock coil out of an lt1 work on a tbi motor? they look the same.
if they look the same, yes
