Aluminum Driveshaft...worth it?

If I was able to buy and aluminum drive shaft for about $120 to replace my stock one in my '88 RS, would it be worth it for me to do so? Any gain in the quarter?

It may be worth 1-2HP at the wheels at most. I didn't notice the difference, and I doubt you will either. I replaced mine due to vibration issues with the stock steel piece.

Its a good upgrade but a mod with little return. If its a 1LE
Aluminum Shaft I would spend the money. The price is very good,
if in good condition and has both end yokes.

if you want to spend a little more money then I would go with these: Custom Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) 3.5" diameter aluminum driveshaft for L98, LT1 and LS1 V8 equipped Camaros and Firebirds. Fits both manual and automatic equipped vehicles
http://www.lingenfelter.com/lingenfe...50&pf%5Fid=217

Sometimes they sell these off of ebay for about $190.
