alternator trouble with lt1 swap into 3rd gen
we swapped a 95 lt1/t56/stock pcm into a third gen, i think its a 90, anyways everythings is in and fired up however the alternator isnt charging, the battery keeps dieing, we tried three different alternators, same result, not charging.
is there something were missing????

i dont know we didnt check to see, we got a local to redo the stock harness, what i recall is one wire to the battery and another to the gauge, ill double check.

Theres a fuse, called "fan", if your fans aren't working either, thats a tell tale sign. Check the fuse, and see if its blown, if its blown, the computer never tells the alternator to start charging.

There is one red wire in the wiring of the LT1 in either the Blue or White (can't remember offhand) that has to have a 470ohm 1watt resistor soldered inline and the other end connected to a 12v switched source. With out this, the alternator never gets the signal to start charging.
