Post Alternates toTPIS Mini-Ram???

I have a 406ci SBC long block ready to go and a looking for an alternate to the TPIS Mini-Ram. At this point I prefer the same short runner design but am open to any thoughts. Thanks for any replies.

Holley Stealth Ram. Very nice piece that will easily support the demands of your big inch small block

Thumbs up

Modded LT1 intake is what gets my vote. I have a Mini Ram, but if John had been doing LT1 intakes before I bought the Mini Ram - I'm positive I would have bought a modded LT1 intake instead.

My other choice would be a converted 4bbl carb intake. That is what I initailly wanted for my car, but I got talked out of it.

Thanks for the input guy's. I'll be looking into the Holley (didn't know they made one). Any pictures of how the LT1 is modified? I may be running an Electromotive TEC II so don't need to modify for a distributer, just the coolant outlet and ??? (bolt holes?)

I have a converted Hilborn with 2 1/8" butterflies but it's just a little to wild for my 87 El Camino. (You have to live with a high idle.)

Thanks again for the info.

I would go sky high, of course that's what I'm doing. Nothing flows like a 4 barrel single plane intake. get one with a fuel injector bosses and get a plenum adapter and a throttle body. doing some running around in Accel DFI adobe online catalog. Look at page 233 that is what you can make. Part number # 74139 (intake) part # 74882 (adapter) and a TB of your choice, rpm range 1,500-7,000 and you just can't go wrong
