I loved my LT1.. better fuel economy, more responsive, more powerful,
better handling, better ride.. better overall feel.. Mine was fairly reliable.
Original plugs/wires/tranny/opti/waterpump til 140k.. Did all
of the above at the same time before I sold the car to my dad. He
still drives it.. However, I like the look of a 3rd gen with a cowl hood
and pro stars more.. My insurance went up like $80, but I was
like 18 when I bought the LT1. It didn't bother me too much as I had
a decent paying job.
