Aftermarket Oil pan for stroker, what fits?

Hey guys. I am looking to buy a 6 quart oil pan for my 6" 383 stroker (late model block), but was told that some pans don't fit with a stroker motor.

Any idea if anyone makes a pan that will clear and work with the third gen chassis, LT headers and 6" stroker? Does Moroso make one? I need to find this out really soon. Thanks guys!!!

My oil pan is stock in my 383. I think they have to clearence the block to get the crank to fit but I have not heard of a pan that won't fit unless it has something funny in it.

That is what I thought, but buddy says his rods hit the pan, so he returned it. I am just thinking about buying that Moroso Pan and seeing how well it fits.

I once bought a summit pan and the rods hit it (#7 & #8) right where the pan narrows in width toward the back, it was for 265-400 sb well, it was a stock 400 that was bored out to .040, it took all of 3 swings of THOR and it fit!

So it should be pretty easy to make fit then? I don't mind a bit of clerancing, but I don't want to ruin a new expensive oil pan to make it fit. Thanks though!!!!

canton oil pans
i use there road race pan on my blown 383.
you will have to put a small notch for clearance on the passenger side of the pan (pan rail). excellent piece.

i'm running a canton rr myself. i only have an item number off the shipment reciept so i'm not sure if it's the model or not.

08915-252T it's a 7 quart piece but it also cost $239. and then i still had to pay for the windage tray as well as the bolts so it was closer to $300 when done plus another 75 to powdercoat it wasn't a cheap thing.

i have a stock pan that holds 5 1/2 from my gm 03' crate that i'll get rid of for cheap if that's all you need. it worked fine on my similar setup.

Hmm, my motor is a late model, one pieace rear main seal block. So I will need a passanger side dipstick pan. I know moroso makes one, any idea on the part number? I gotta order one, so I am gonna look it up.
