I recently purchased an 89 RS with California Emissions. I don't live in Cali, so I don't need the extra parts or the headache that may come with having them, but I really don't know anything about it either. Does anyone have any experience with these parts or know where I might find some info. on them specific to my car? Thanks...

 

just leave everything alone, anything you remove will affect the performace of that low output 305 TBI. You may need the emission equipment in your state. Anyways it was ceritied to meet California requirements and nothing else was added to the Stock emission equiment.

 

There is no significant difference. The hardware is the same. The only change might be something in the chip, but they're all rated at the same horsepower and torque. Dont worry about it.
