Question 88 MAF 2.8 work with 85 2.8?

I need a new MAF sensor for a 2.8L FI v6 camaro I bought, will an 88 MAF from a 2.8L suffice?

Thanks...

On most MAF's the part number or calibration is molded in check to see if there the same.

I would think they are compatible, but the only way to check would be to call a dealer or NAPA.

Seth - (oil pan 4)

In your sig, it says you need a 2.8L engine? Or am I wrong, because I will be taking this one out once I get it running really solid. Will use it to pass smog before I drop the v8 in.

1991 2.8L

The 88 2.8 I had in there is dead. I broke the 5 conecting rod off at the bigend and I now I have a 91 s-truck 2.8 engine to go in it.
I had just picked it up be for I left, it won't go in untill next summer or fall.
There isn't any point in doing it any time soon because I am on my way to japan.
