At 140 , over 2 miles a minute, who has time to look at the tach??I could barely glance at the speedo where I was driving. I was running an LS1 Z28 who was ahead by a car, I was curious to see if I would eventually catch him on top...but didn't.
If I only had a dollar for every time I've hit 140 mph..
I can feel the steering getting light at that speed, telling me I was starting to get a little lift...I haven't pushed it to 150 yet, I know the car would do it, it could still pull a little at 140. But until I lower it 1.5" - 2" and get the suspension the way I want it, I won't.

A TPI will do 140mph. I have pegged the speedometer in my 92 a couple of times. With the 700r4 the speedo pegs at about 4400 rpm. It will probably do 150-155 before it runs out of steam.

haha with your RS gears + the highass T56 gearing? Hell yeah. If you got a stealthram so you could breathe up top, you'd definately have it. I don't know...you might be geared SO high that you run out of pulling power?
Its definately possible. Well, think about it... Stealthram is suppose to give 60 horsepower... plus the 220-230 the L98 makes... that puts you at more then an LT1-powered. The T56-powered LT1's have lower rearend gears then you (3:56 or something like that, 3:23 at the highest I believe)...and I KNOW they can get up to 150/160.
Have fun. Don't kill yourself.

I just dont think a stock L98 could go it. I mean figure a 245hp car can go 140, like said above. But a 275hp car can only do 155 (4th gen). That's 30hp, I don't know if gearing would make that up.
