I have an 82 Z28 sitting in my garage, and I'd like to put it on the road. It needs and engine and a transmission(the engine had a rod knock and my brother was going to rebuild the transmission, but he moved and the parts are now nowhere to be found), and I don't know where to go about finding either. Any suggestions as to where to go to find either?

You mean you just want to buy a new tranny and Engine to drop in it? Summit or Jegs both sell crate engines, and rebuilt performance trannies that will drop right in, if you have the cash for it.
