A 6 swap to an 8

Recently I started pondering the idea of swapping my 3.1 out for an 8. Any suggestions? As well, if I went for an 8 would I be able to use full headers or would I be stuck with a manifold and I know I will have to get new accessories and what not.....

you talking about 8 cylinders? if so, you will need new motor mounts and a new tranny. ummm...yes, LT's will fit

maybe its just me, but i'm confused to what you are asking.

yeah, I am going to be moving to a V8. Not sure when, but I want to get specifics down before hand none the less. I was thinking about an LT1 if not larger. I was wondering if I would need a new tranny, seeing that I am sure mine came with the 700R4. I do also tend to replace my suspension, I heard with the larger engine this is a good idea. plus I want to switch to 4 wheel disc, whether I can move to abs is another question I have.

Try doing a search. This question gets asked at least once a week. In fact, there's one that I just answered right before this one.
