4th gen center console in a 3rd gen

i have an 88 iroc-z and i am interested in installing a 4th gen center console into my 3rd gen, is this a simple procedure or no? any comments or suggestions?

Nosaints car is a firebird, that is a direct bolt in.
On a camaro there is some cutting to do. do a search over at thirdgen.org.
