373 gears and shift kit??

I was thinking about going to 373 gears (I have 323's now) and getting a transgo shift kit, my question is will these items shave any time off my 1/4 mile time.

Thanks,

maybe a tenth or two tenths of a second but not a major change!

Keep the 3.23's and spend the money on a good 9.5" lockup torque converter (A.C.T. or Vigilante) instead, and you might pickup 3-6 tenths in the quarter mile.

I say go with the 3.73 b/c of the superram pulling more HP than the stock TPI. If you had the stock TPI I would say stay with the 3.23. As far as the TC, unless you run slicks, I would say stay with the one you have otherwise traction will be more nonexistant! Sounds like a good combo, what do you run in the 1/4?

I'd go with the 3.73 gears.

How much life left in the tranny? You'd better pull the pan and check the mileage. You don't want to put on a new TC and have to change the tranny 3000 miles later, do you? If there is metal in the pan, I'd say the tranny is on the way out and you should wait to have it rebuilt before you put in a shift kit and TC. I usually condemn a TC if there are shavings in the pan because I am not sure if everything in the TC can be cleaned out without cutting it apart.

Thanks for the input guys I'm still trying to decide, and so far i've been running low 14's 14.1, 14.2 with bad traction, personally I think I should be running better and I need someone to fine tune my car. What do you think abou those times?? I'm kind of new at this.

Thanks

What are you doing for an EPROM? There was a big change when LPE reburnt my EPROM.

Your times seem decent for what you have done tho.

My system is setup as speed density, and I have a DFI setup where you use a laptop to tune your car.
