Where can I get an intake pipe?

I want a straight pipe from my air filter to my engine. I have a 2.8L V6 engine in my Firebird (1989) and the fitting on the engine is oval which is a bit of a pain to find a pipe that fits.

Ya, mine is oval. The metal tube was squished down to an oval shape and the rubber boot holds them together so the tube doesn't have to be perfectly oval, just oval enough.

Would you believe that that tube came off of a Semi Truck.
My friend found it and had it on his 90 Formula. I traded him a rearend for it a couple of years ago. I don't know what truck it's from though.

Who made it for you and will it attach to the stock airbox? Reason I ask is that I have a SLP Cold Air Induction Kit which will use the stock pipe to the box. If it works, I would need to ask you where you got it done at and can they make another for me?

Smile

just find an exhaust fabrication shop or a good metal worker. it isn't hard to do and would be alot cheaper for you to look near you.
