305 TPI to ZZ4 Stealth Ram 350

Ok, I got my 86 Trans Am back after leaving to join the Air Force 2 years ago, the car is beautiful and I want to give it some more pep. I am going to order a ZZ4 350 crate motor and on it, put the holley stealth ram, accel 30pph injectors, a BBK 58MM throttle body, and a bigger fuel pump in the tank. What else do I need to do and who do I get a custom chip from?

adjustable fuel pressure regulator, tranny work, stall convertor, gears (and a 9 bolt if you have a 10)

Off the top of my head thats all I can think of, I'll chime in later if I think of anything else.

Thanks for the info, anybody know about the chip? I know my stock one is not going to work and I doubt that even a 350's stock chip is sufficient. Also, what about going to a speed density? would it be worth the time/effort?

I dont think its worth it to go to speed density. SD is a little faster with perfect weather and perfectly tuned. But I think MAF is a little more mod friendly without having to reprogram the PROm everytime, and its more forgiving with weather.

www.fasterproms.com does a truely custom chip. They will burn it to your specs then if you email them readings they will send you a reburn and they you email more readings and they will burn it again. By this time it should be nuts on. All this for $350. If you ever need to repeat the process, it will cost you $150. I have had their work and am very satisfied with it. I believe that LPE will have a link for them too on the website.

go to www.stealthram.com and see my car. it has the zz4 cam (no heads) and HSR. you will not need 30# injectors. i have 24# and they are still rich. you can also go to www.fl-thirdgen.org/mrr23 my other page for more detailed stuff. which by the way i have an 86 TA.

You can make the 30pph injectors work. Just a matter of shortening the pulse width. I would go 24 pph too unless you have plans for a blower or NO2 later.

Thanks for the info guys, I probably will go with the 24 pph since they work so good for your car. By the way mrr23, I like your car and it gives me a preview of what my car will look like in about 6 months or so. My T/A is also white.
