i have a 1988 firebird formula 350 with a 305 tbi and a 91 camaro with a 305 tpi my questions are would the firebirds 5 speed mount to the 305 tpi engine?, it is a borg warner 5 speed, and can i use the automatic computer out of the camaro for the firebird, even though it is a 5 speed, and will the firebirds wiring harness pin up to the sensors on the tpi??

 

I confused. So your wanting to swap fuel inj. systems and transmissions from one to the other.

Also since Formula 350's only came with L98 and the 700R4 I must assume the Formula rear is the stock BW 7.65 9 bolt.

I thought BW only made rears, not trans. But I'm not sure about that. What is the 5 speed out of?

I don't see why the computer would not work going to a 5-speed.

 

Just swapping 305 engine is no problem and will mate up with the 5sp. You will need the TPI wiring hardness. The ECM can also be switched over, however it will need a new prom for the conversion to work. One question. You state Formula 350, so what is it??? A Formula with a stock TBI.
