305 to 350 tpi

Im buying a 1991 z28 with a 305 w/ at. Im wondering where the best place is to get a 350 engine (crate, long, or short block)?
Next question is the steath ram intake from holly for the 350 only or will it fit on a 305?

Your local speed shop would be one place, or Scoggin Dickey at http://www.sdpc2000.com/ would be another. You'll want 22lbs injectors to go with that 350, and a new chip. Either a custom one, or the stock 92 Z28 "AUJP" from a GM dealer will work as well.

the HSR will fit on a 305 and 350 but unless have some serious parts in your 305 you wont need that kind of airflow. You should consider other mods to the 305 first like exhaust and porting the TPI intake.

I am buying a crate motor from Scoggin Dickey. I choose the 350 LM1. It Is only $1,279.99 and there is also a 100.00 core charge.
Here are the specs
Note this is a Hydraulic Cam not a Hydraulic Roller Cam. But I plan to upgrade to Hydraulic Rollers and cam Later. I just wanted a brand new motor that was reliable while I Buy Preformance parts with out Having to buy parts to Just keep it running and was Just going to buy a 305 crate motor but the 305 Runs $1,635 For the cheapest one, So a 350 for 1279.99 and $250 Dollar set of Accel 24Lbs. injectors, then Burn my own chip and GO Baby GO!!

Hope I could Help Some

if i was you i wouldn't waste money on anything for the 305 unless you can put it on a 350...so later on down the road when you get your 350 you should be able to bolt it right up.
