would it still be legally smogged if you dropped a 305 in favor of a 350...i dont know if its the "whatever engine was included in that car for that year"...so i dont know...thank you to whoever knows...

 

sure a 350 tpi should just as easy pass as a 305 tpi in good tune.

most places couldnt even tell the difference from a 350 or a 305 if u use the same tpi setup.

you'll have to get a different carb, or re-jet that one, but that will only change your fuel flow, you would want more air too.

 

A 350 TPI is legal as an '87-'89 L98. You'd just have to have it equiped like one (no big deal - almost the same as your '86 LB9). Or, convert it to the SD L98 a la '90-'92 (with proper support equipment).

The only 350 carb that would be technically legal is a computer controlled version per the "HO 350 Camaro Conversion Kit" that GM used to sell.

Any other answer will be to the effect that you can "get" it to pass. Technically, no other 350 is legal. Anywhere in the US.
