1990 Iroc-z

I know some one that has a 1990 Iroc with a 305 in it.... he has all new exhaust system with the flowmasters and he wanted to know what else he could do to get this car runnin hard... it has 94k original miles on it and it still runs very strong. The car is not wanted for racing really... he just wants something thats respectable on the street and on the freeway.... something thats gonna put your head in the seat.... and also to leave the stangs and rice rockets in the dust.

anyway, this questions been answered about a million times. to get it running harder the first thing would be redo the exhaust, not just a muffler. You need a good system. Headers, 3" catback with a high-flow cat would be nice.
Also maybe the free ram air mods and what not, get her flowing a little better, but since its a SD car and not MAF, yo might just slap a cone filter on the TB and be done with that.

After exhaust, maybe some better wires, do a tuneup, some other free mods like TB bypass, port the plenum, ..... it goes on and on..... check this board out, the answers are already out there! Hope i helped

That is the SLP Dual Cold Air intake. I like that intake a lot, looks stock. I traded it for an LT4 hot cam since I didn't think I could use it on my LT1. I found out I could so I am looking for another used one to buy.

question....whats the difference in the air system that the camaro has stock and the slp kit? Doesnt seem like itd be much of a difference especially not enough to justify spending the money slp wants for their parts.

The factory camaro air box is ok but the SLP unit flows 3 times as good since it uses larger air channels and filters.

Unless you are making a lot of HP the factory system is fine. Not to mention the SLP cold air in the picture is not practical. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have to displace your battery, evap canister, and cruise control.

IMO not worth it unless it was a strip-only car.

Battery and Evap Canister need to be relocated, not sure about the Cruise though. I dind't have the evap and cruise on my car when I installed the SLP, I just moved the battery to the trunk.
