1987 L98 question

Hi guys, does a 1987 Trans Am with the L98 350 have an external coil or is the coil in the distributor cap? Thanks

I was just told by Summit it is external.

Yup they are external. As far as I know all f-bodys from 87-92 had external. I think the only car to keep the internal was the Vette till 91. But Im not even 100% sure if the vette had it past 87.
