6 Piston Brembo Brake option $3,100?!?!?!?
I was reading some of the reviews for the new 2016 Camaro. The reported braking performance is 60-0 @ 106 ft. (may very for different reviews). The reported numbers were for the 4 piston standard Brembo brakes on the SS. There is a $3,100 6 piston Brembo brake option for the SS. I can understand ordering this option if you are taking your car to the track/autocross, etc.. . . and of course if you have the money.
Is there a real "seat of the pants" difference that would justify the extra $3,100 expense?

I wouldn't expect a noticeable difference in seat of the pants feel. I'd expect superior on-track performance, especially in terms of fade resistance and pad wear characteristics. That's an upgrade that really only matters for road racing and HPDEs. I wouldn't expect it to make a difference for autocross -- those rarely last long enough to get the brakes hot.
