Re: skip shift eliminator????

My apologies to the zombie gods in digging up this old thread, but I hate starting new ones. So, that said, can anyone answer these two questions?

1) Is the Skip Shift Eliminator truely the same on 5th Gen as 4th?
2) Does installing the Skip Shift Eliminator affect the factory warranty?

I am considering this for my wife's 2010 LS3 1SS/RS M6, and I have an eliminator I bought for my 99 TA, but ended-up programming out the feature.

If you bring it in for warranty work on the trans, simply disconnect it before bringing it in.

Same piece. They will not void the warranty unless you plug it in the wrong spot and cause damage because of it.

In my opinion they are worth the $$$. Sure you can evade the feature by giving it more gas but the one time you don't and start to shift is the one time it comes in to annoy you. worth the $20.
