skip shift eliminator????

i think this may be some kind of universal piece for the camaro and other vehicles like the vette, but has anyone made this available for the camaro, or does anyone have a place that sells them that is compatable with the 5th gen?

LG Motorsports has them available for the LS3 Vette. They're just a plug in adapter if I remember right. Since they're virtually the same from computer to transmission, they should work.

On the other hand.....there's really no need; skip shift only activates under light acceleration, so it shouldn't get in the way of anything. Punch it and it goes away.

Run it up a little higher (past 19mph in a 4th gen; not sure what it is in the 5th gen) in first. Or just shift to 4th.

Having said that, I disabled mine on my '02 with an eliminator. I occasionally still skip when it tells me to.

Another alternative would be to have it tuned out. You could get that done when you tune your car for that supercharger you've been talking about.

SLP has them... looks like they are the same as the ones for earlier models.

Does anyone know where I can buy a skip shift eliminator switch for a 2000 Camaro Z-28 with a 6 speed.

It's not a switch -- it will be disabled all the time.

Here's one:

I grabbed one from eBay for $15 shipped. Worked like a champ and had the OEM connectors. Eliminated the "let me try to kill you" 1-4 shift.

I too picked one up off eBay. $17 including shipping and was built with OEM style weatherproof connectors.

Cant believe they still put those stupid things in these cars, everyone tries to eliminate them but they still put them in. I had to replace a few things in my transmission for my 95 and the part that makes the skip shift possible found its way across the garage, dont know where it went but glad its gone

they only do it to save us the gas guzzler tax. its not that big of a deal to buy a 15 dollar item to save us thousands in tax.
