Odd how most of this is a mute point now. I am going to drop in a Millenial Falcon Hyperdrive. 4-5k jules of HP. All kidding aside, not sure I'd want to burn my warranty until the bugs are worked out of the car and the jury is out on what mods make sense.

Stroker

Don't get me wrong, 418cid sounds awesome and I understand what you're saying about leading vs following, I did it with my Blu Ray Player! Stakes are just a hair higher with the car.

I believe that set up offers the Compstar or Eagle 4" crankshafts. Either way, modding violates warranties. Not sure if a single 2010 has over 20k miles on it yet. I know they did their homework at GM on our cars but maybe you're right. I'm too conservative! Although the only bug I did see was that with the positive cable issue causing the car to die....

BTW, did you notice better performance, or SERIOUS better performance? Just curious.

I have the last car Jay built and I have to say yes he's crazy and must have more money than me but I own what he did with old technology and its a BADD *** car. He's a smart guy and i'm sure a GM Mechanic will find a way to get warranty work done! PS Jay i'd like to see when you run it at KK. I think i'm going on October 2nd.

yes, it is a large plastic jug with a hand pump and a hose, and a box of different fittings for all the different engines

this tool worked great, all the oil passages were pre filled with oil at start-up, i even rotated the engine by hand while pressurizing it to pump up the lifters, i had oil at all of my rocker arms, no delay getting oil pressure when i fired up the engine

i cut apart the first oil filter after 30min run time and no metal at all, same with the second filter 200 miles later

first run 1.8 60'
second run 1.7 60', but i forgot to turn off the stabilitrac so at about 100' it kicked in and tried to straighten the car out, still ran 11.9, would have been a better run if it didnt kick in. then we got rained out.

car will be going in storage for the winter soon, but i have a few more mods to pick up over the winter

-fast lsxr 102mm intake(maybe the nick williams 102mm electric t/b)
-kooks 3" header back system
-GEARS(hopefully someone has a ring and pinion by spring time) otherwise im going to buy a complete diff from a manual trans car and get just a little improvement in the rear gear,

4000 miles on the car and no issues at all with the engine swap, been driving it almost every day to work, im really going to miss it over the winter, what a great car

wow sounds great. what do you think is holding you back in teh 60 so far though? traction? with that kinda power, and a decent 3200 stall could be getting into the low 1.6's Id think. better with a more aggressive stall ofcourse. but thats only if you can get traction. Im really curious how strong these rear ends are and if/what can be done to make them hook.
