Sounds like you would've been a good candidate for a body in white car if only you could register it.

Buy some books and keep reading the tech forums and you'll find that it's easier than you think when you are well informed and have the slightest bit of mechanical knowledge.

engine is done for the most part, just waiting for gm to get the camaro in the parts catalog so i can get the correct oil pan and pick-up tube, and i need to order my stall converter yet.

That's what I get too, hoping for a little better through some more tuning.

Those parts look great - makes me want to build another engine! Good luck with it!

so its a 415ci 6.8l? why not just build a 7.0 427 up? it sounds like the motor you built will be pretty bullet proof but why did you choose that motor? plan on doing a blower to it?

its a proven combo with no exotic parts, should be very reliable, i could have went with a 4.1" stroke crank and got a few more cubes but then any power adder would not be recomended because the piston gets a little thin on top,, so i went with a 4" stroke and a good forged piston so i can spray it at the track

also my s-10 went 10.50's in the 1/4 with just a junkyard 6.0L and unported L92 heads and a small shot, so this engine will be way better than the 6.0L i had,, should be fun, even though the camaro will be about 700# heavier than the s-10 was
