I ordered an M6 here. 2 main reasons, I like the fun of stick shifts, and I didnt want to pay the $1,200 for the A6 lol.

plus my vette is an A4 and its good to have some variaty.

At this point I'd love to drive anything that isnt a HMMWV.

Greetings from Baghdad,

Bob

A blast is right, drove my buddy's 2SS with automatic paddle shifters, took it out for like 45 minutes, what a blast. Has a SLP axle back exhaust as well and loud (SLP loudmouth1). A lil 2 loud for me and my quite neighboorhood, so I ordered the Borla CatBack S-Type which I paid $1155 (free shipping) and should arrive this week as my 2011 2SS arrives next week. Paddleshifting/formula driving here I come. P.S. Borla exhaust although slightly less roar then the SLP (I think), none the less a solid throaty sound to make the removed stock Camaro 2SS Miata exhaust sound like a real true muscle car:>)

Re: Manual or Automatic Tap Shift?

Saw the comments on this thread and figured I would build on the old one rather than start a new one.

I have been going through the manual versus automatic debate for a 2SS in my head. I love the idea of a manual but the wife had a knee replacement on her left knee. Some days it is still pretty sore.

We have had both an MR2 and a Vette that were both manuals and she drove them ok. Although I know she was sore some days.

I test drove the manual this past week and played with the paddle shifters a bit. It seemed pretty responsive and did not look like it would be tough to get used to. Seemed like it might actually be pretty fun.

Curious about some recent feedback from someone who has had a manual 2SS for a little while. You happy? Anything you would do different?

Re: Manual or Automatic Tap Shift?

I enjoy driving my '04 Aveo with the manual, and to this point it is the only thing I have driven in stick shift, so I am really excited to feel 300 horses under my command. (I'm getting the V6, lol)
