exhaust brace

I took off the black metal brace that goes across the exhaust under my 2010 camaro because i got new 3 inch pipes and it keeps hitting against the metal piece.. I see they sell a bigger piece for the 3inch pipe is that piece really important or can i just drive without it

Re: exhaust brace

I would get it. I wont say your car will die without it but it is there for a reason. Check with Barton Industries. They sell one that looks nice and will not completely empty your wallet.

Absolutely important. That is called the tunnel brace. There are a few people that make aftermarket ones, or spacers and bolts to drop the OEM one down a touch.
