presonaly I dont think car is retro. Its got this new old look im not sure how to discribe it at least to me anyways.
it dosnt really appel to me presonal. id love to see a 60 to 69 body style excat driving around with new car inside. as along as its also metal and not fiber glass.
presonal 69 camaro would be my dream car of choice.
Im not big fan of the mustang look ethere with kick back its just little to boxy for me. i compare my dads old 69 camaro pictures of it that we took befor he sold it to the pictures of the 2009 camaro and i dont know the 69 seems to have more curves to it then the newer model 2009 comming out.

I love how the Camaro looks, but I admit myself that it does worry me. We all know how well the Thunderbird went when it was retro... so well that it's dead again. I'm just hoping that they CAN evolve and and will be able to do it gracefully.

The Thunderbird was also a $40k car that handled not so well and only really sold on it's looks. I don't see a substantial parallel to be drawn between the Camaro and the Thunderbird.

True points, my only parallel is that they brought it back and made it "retro" (I don't consider either truely retro, though, because both are modernized and new looking) and then it flopped. The Camaro is being brought back, made "retro", the trick will be to create that 6th gen. I'm sure the GM Boys know what they're doing, tho.

tail lights are similar to 75
head lights 79 if you combined the headlights and blinkers into one headlight
the lines behind the headlight in the hood consequently similar to 79
The open grill inspired by 70-73 open grille

On the same token the concept isnt a direct interpretation of a 69 but rather was inspired and that is why I think the concept is heratige which was my point.
I was surprised you didnt mention the tail lights. The tail and the open grille are the most obvious. The subtle are the hood lines then after that the way the B pillar and the back window. It seems to me there are very few original lines on a 98-02 barring the spoiler...
