You cant throw out exagerated somewhat unsupported posts and be upset when someone challenges them. As for my signature

"The true test of self-confidence is the courage to be open—to welcome change and new ideas regardless of their source. Self-confident people aren't afraid to have their views challenged. They relish the intellectual combat that enriches ideas"

That quote is from Jack Welch. In my opinon you threw it out there comparing people to the Chineese govt and the like. Your posts are full of exagerations like this. Im challenging and debating you with the same passion you are throwing out. Think Im wrong? show us. Back it up, defend your position with examples not exagerations. Others here have challenged my ideas all the time and have been right. Im not perfect. Think that makes me arrogant? sorry...
I don't think you are arrogant. I think I am actually! lol! My point with respect to GM allowing evryone to see the final design at this point is that if it takes GM this long to perfect it, then it would surely take another company just as long to accomplish the same thing would it not? So if this is so, then how could another company beat GM to market with this design when GM is going to prod in 7-8 months? It would be impossible for some other company to steal the idea and incorporate it onto their design before GM would come out with the Camaro.

Agreed we do! It's not that I don't want to see the finished product as much as you do but I understand why they can't/won't. The good thing is our wait isn't long until we have all the answers in Spet.

Well Im guessing because I dont work for them. Im assuming The long process of deciding what designs and configurations are a huge part of the development process.

I look at it similar to a drawn out math problem on a test. Sometimes alot of trial and error. It may take you a while to figure out a solution to the math problem but a fraction of that for the guy next to you to copy it. Youve done the leg work for him if he sees it. Also I look at it as alot of work went into where it is now. GM is doing a whole car. Another company say Ford could look at it and say We've already got most of what we want figured out and alot GM doesnt have figured out. We like what theyve done with X. In fact were further along with our version of X so lets take what we like of theirs and incorporate it. Now our X will have the stuff we already liked and didnt reveal as well as what we liked of theirs. If Im not mistaken, thats how the Soviets were right behind the US with Nuclear technology.

Now having said that to me it seems GM is doing some of what youre saying. The camos been removed and theyve encouraged pictures of the preproductions. The car is so close to the concept exterior wise that I dont think theyve risked much by doing it. Ive never heard of anything like it. The headlights are not in which suggests to me that possibly either they are not where they want them to be, or they dont want to reveal the finished look yet but still need to test at night. I tend to believe that its the former as Scott has hinted the production is very close to the Bumble bee Concepts. Scott has also hinted production cars will be shown this Sept in indianapolis. So I think they agree with you there regaurding the interior and finished product, just 6 months from now as opposed to today. If the interior is different from the concepts I think its understandable that they havent shown it just yet. Again Im guessing

In some ways honestly I think what we are seeing is as finished as it currently is. That is I think if the preproductions were finished products that they would be ready for production.

Again Im not in the industry, but thats my take.

Major malfunction?! What is it exactly you want to know??

The Camaro is the most transparently developed car I've ever seen from any manufacturer save the Pontiac Solstice.

I can't, and I KNOW you can't name another all-new car that was so openly developed and had so much information about it available one year before it even hit showrooms.

Keep the people in the dark who will be BUYING the car, thats really bright!
This is simple whining. Even worse, we're cluelessly using cars that had even more strict information embargoes a year out than Camaro.

Malibu info didn't come out till a few months before intro.

The Holden Commodore was the same way.

The Cobalt essentially materialized out of thin air.

Spy pictures are the same as they always have been for more years than you've probally been alive.

Buyers aren't buying a car that isn't in a showroom.

It's you, not potential buyers, who are having vapor lock over this issue.

The G8 became well advertized and we became well informed about it AFTER it came out. GXP will be out later this year.

Get with the program, will ya?
