A lot of what is here is blanket statement. We (GM faithful-and sometimes blind) are of the opinion the new cars all have what the old ones didn't. Some of the old ones were horrible. From the other side the imports aren't bulletproof. They have their strong points and faults. I have a friend with 30K mile Audi S4 and the thing whistles like a freight train over 60MPH, his windows squeal like pigs when the humidity too high, and his Integra-R (50K) rattles nobody's business if it passes over so much as a popsicle stick. Here are two examples of the same owner with a German and a Japanese car that aren't perfect. Oh, did I mention his trans went out as well (6K to get a new one)? I think the consensus here is that we shouldn't judge until it is here. Heck, Hyundai used to make what most of us considered death traps and now it has one of the most admired "luxury" cars on the market in some surveys. Let's just see when it's here.

I think we can take the GTO as strong evidence that Camaro build quality, comfort, etc., will be quite good.
