Sometime in December everyone who currently has a workbench order for a new Camaro will upload into the system and will no longer be able to make adjustments to their order. I was wondering if anyone knew this date?

I was understanding that it was sometime in February but it is rather important that people know for sure...including myself. Good question! I will get the answer and post again shortly.

Thanks much Jason! Everyone seems to have a different story on this, and I think everyone would benefit from knowing.

Straight from John Fitzpatrick...

There is no specific date for the orders to be uploaded. The date depends on when the dealer receives allocation, and the allocation is spread over many weeks. An order can be changed up until the point the dealer submits the order for production.
What to do if you feel you may change your order...

Since the date is not fixed, here is what you do:
Contact your dealer and say something like, "before you submit my order for production, please call me in case I want to make any final changes.".

Simple enough!

I guess my final question would be, do you think there is a certain time when the first set will be taken? I am supposedly on allocation #1 at my dealer, so I am curious as to when the first "set" of orders will be uploaded?

I don't think that can be determined on our end. Your dealer might know, but that is just a guess on my part.

Confusing...I too was told/read that the orders would be "pulled in Dec. by GM" and they would be assigned a VIN. My dealer made his allocation of 3 in 2 days within the first week of ordering....they said I could change it anytime, until "GM pulled the orders in the system".

So this is all very confusing...

I think to reiterate, communicate with your dealer. Before they send your order in
have them contact you to be sure it is what you want. My dealer told me exactly this.
They will call me to be sure everything is correct.

+1

Stopped by my dealer today just to chat and see if there was anything he thought he knew that I could correct him on. LOL

Anyway, he said he would definitely call me before the order got dropped.

I will do the same this week...check in w/ my dealer, to make sure everything is up to par....and also to check the status of the 'legendary' polished wheel option on the RS package
