Ok, so I guess we also better cross off the following from 'sporty car-dom':

BMW M3 (414 hp, 3704 lb)
Nissan GTR (470+ hp, 3850 lb)
Aston Martin DB9 (457 hp, ~3800 lb)

It's not LOW WEIGHT that makes a car sporty. It's POWER.

That's a pretty silly statement. Both play a huge part in how the car accelerates (see GT500 compared to C6 Vette for clues), but assuming that there is more to "sporty" than just a straight line (hard for me to believe, but some seem to think so), then weight becomes an even bigger factor than just power.

"Sporty" has nothing to do with actual performance. A two-door Grand Am is considered sporty by many people.

And it's power-to-weight ratio, not just power.
