wtf is up with the trailer hitch?

 

I have no idea why, but mules and prototypes always seem to have them.

I'm more curious about the weird black straps or wires on either side or it.

Where do I sign? To me, with the flow of the housing for the headlights, it looks as though there will be a clear plate over top the actual lights, much like the concept has. I'm sure once that on the car and there are the actual projectors in place, toss on a gold bow-tie and some Z/28 emblems, we will have the icing on our cake.

 

those are most likely plastic/rubber caps covering fuel tank drain ports

 

You can see on the grille where the gold bowtie will go. There are indentations for the vertical portion of the logo.

 

This mule isn't making a stop in Beautiful Sarasota, FL anytime this week is it? The area is perfect for some hot/humid weather testing and is only 50 miles south of Tampa. Plus we have a massive crowd of Camaro/Mustang/muscle car owners down here who would be delighted to see it in person even if its rolling.

it probably has that hitch because the pre-pro is towed and hauled for testing frequently.

This is freakin' sweet, I wasn't in love with the earlier pics of the black 1 in detroit, but now that I've seen it up close i'm in love. it has not lost the lines. IMO it looks better than the concept. I like how they put the crease in the trunk. They made the mirrors normal size. the shark-fin doesn't bother me either way. It is a hell of alot meaner than the sh*tstang. I can't wait to see what it looks like when they put the production lights in. I'm LOVIN' LOVIN' the accents around the rear-lights.
the reverse lights have nice placing.

This is wonderful news. My mouth has been watering for more pics and I have to say that i'm satisfied.

Yeah, but that could go either way. becuase there aren't any horizontal indentations it could just as well be the camaro emblem.

To tow broken down mustangs from the track?

 

Possible. But unlikely. Looks pretty much like the exact dimensions for the vertical section of the bowtie. The sides wouldn't really need indentations - they could be fastened by clips or otherwise. That would be a REALLY big Camaro emblem and I just don't think we'll see it (at least not in the grille).

 

Awesome I see the gas tank is going to be on the passenger side.
