So if I place an order tomorrow...

I am into this very late...IF I placed an order this week at my dealership...would they accept it at this late date?

Approximately how long would it take now to get a custom order to the dealership?

Or would I be better off just waiting a month and walking into a dealership and buy what they have on the lot?

My girlfriend is coming to see me the third week in April, any chance you think of picking her up at the airport in a 2010 Camaro? (I am in Tampa, Fl area)

Great site btw. (former owner of a 1969 Camaro)

From what I've been told by several dealers, orders can be accepted at any time during production. However, unless the dealer has an allocation, the order just sits in the system until they receive an allocation for it. At this time...good luck.

No one really knows how long it will take to get the orders filled, as production just started today. After next month we should have a good idea as to how fast the cars are being built.

As to whether or not you would be better off ordering...it depends on how picky you are. It may be quite some time before there is much of a selection of any kind just sitting on a lot.

As to your chances of having one by third week of April....not a snowball's chance in hell. They have over 14000 orders to fill now and production won't be at full capacity for a little while yet.

That and the typical GM dealer action as soon as they have one on the lot is to jack the price through the ceiling- simply because they can. I'd personally order it and refuse to pay a huge markup. You can always order it somewhere else versus not being able to find another one sitting on the next guy's lot.

You can order one, but it'll probably be six months before you take delivery.
