The last car I ordered (through my dad's employee discount), I got regular mailed updates as to the build progress. Granted it was only 2. One when they pulled the order (to verify the build and options), and one when it was shipped.

Anyone know if they still do that?

 

Nope. They like to keep us in the dark as much as possible. Actually my dealer has been very good at keeping me updated. GM is usually not the problem- the dealer is.

 

It was the plant/GM that sent the mailers, not the dealer.

Well, it got here yesterday morning AND IS STILL AT THE DEALER.

I can't buy it because GM hasn't invoiced them for it yet. No invoice. No certificate of origin. That equals no sale... UGH !

i called yesterday to see if my car was built yet, and they told me there some delays and alot of cars this week werent produced. if its not made today, it will be made next week. hopefully.
