Id like to see a cumulative sales chart for the entire year just to see the Camaro rise towards the Mustang cumulative numbers.

What I would like to see is how many Mustangs were sold during 2009 before the Camaro production began? A Month by month comparison would be awesome.

9,645 Mustangs were sold jan-march in 2009.

That would leave 56,978 for April-December.

GM didn't report any sales in March 2009 so I assume that sales started in April.

April-December
Mustang 56,978
Camaro 61,618

Not lame at all. When you consider all the press the new Camaro received for years before it finally went on sale, it should have cleaned the "under-powered" and ugly Mustangs clock in terms of sales. Especially when you consider what a "looker" the Camaro is compared to the Mustang. In my opinion, the sales numbers will favor the Mustang by more in the future, especially with the big HP gain it will receive in 2011. History has a way of repeating itself...

Interesting perspective. Camaro did miss a few months but people started ordering the previous year.

In my opinon its an awesome car. I wish it wasnt so wide and tall with that high belt line but the lines are beautiful and the engine is impressive. The Mustang is no slouch. I actually like the look of their Mustang new front end. The rear of the new however Im not a fan.

I live in Annapolis MD. last Wed evening I walked downtown and looked into the resturants around. On average there was one to three people per resturant with the exception of 2 or 3 of the nicest ones. I dont know how they make rent. I felt lucky to be employed (at least for now...) There are more layoffs comming where I work, and Im sure IF I survive the comming cuts, this wont be the last. All things considered GM should be proud of the Camaro they put out and keep improving. Less tall, thinner, lower beltline, direct injection V8, refined suspension, HUD, Wheels with a proportional width that lends to handeling rather than bling. I think theres alot of potential.
