LOL, although I personally like NASCAR, I think it is funny that even a Toyota looks just like every other NASCAR in the Nextel Cup. I really wish they would go away from the template bodies. The sport had more pizzaz when the manufacturers were required to run body styles that at least resembled the production cars they were based off of.

Re: No clinics for Camaro.

The console gauges should at least be optional. I like the idea. They dont have to be the important ones like gas, oil pressure and temp. Put something like a vacuum gauge or a voltmeter on the console.

Re: No clinics for Camaro.

Good example of a clinic....the HHR did not clinic well....but Lutz said "build it anyway....we'll sell every one of 'em".......and we are!

There is a time and place for a clinic, I suppose, but frankly, listening to people one-on-one can sometimes be more enlightening......there's no "opinion leader" as there are in some clinics.......I've seen where some people loved something and by the time a strong person within the group gets finished, the person decides they don't like it as much......and vice versa.

Gotta love Bob Lutz!

Re: No clinics for Camaro.

Here's a list of things the Camaro MUST have!:

1) Cosole gauges. They're so worthless that they must be cool...right?

2) '69 cowl inducted hood. Since fuel injected engines have a throttle body in front...this hood inducts nothing from the cowl. Bitchin'!

3) Horseshoe shifter. I enjoyed it so much the first time around, I feel compelled to educate a whole new generation.

[/sarcasm]

Re: No clinics for Camaro.

That is great news for the Camaro and GM design as a whole. The concept is awesome looking and its good that it wont be watered down. Plus GM's designers have shown they can do some great work. Now hopefully there wont be clinics to get in their way anymore.

Re: No clinics for Camaro.

Truthfully I dont think the console guages would be a miss. Mainstream (aka high volume) Joe/Jane Buyer might think its just too neat to pass up.

Its something not everyone has.

Youd be suprised to hear some of the crap people like. ...round taillights and what not, lol...

Oh, here's another thing Camaro MUST have...

A 2 speed transmission. I hope they don't stick us with one of those new fangled six speeds, when all we really need is 2nd and 4th.

Think about it, hit the gas and only one shift. KEWWLLLL.

From someone who drives an original with console guages........they suck.....can't see them without swerving off the side of the road...

But Charlie, come on man..leave my cowl hood alone.....the best and most copied design ever.....
